These terms apply to purchases and use of Praecheck supplied by Praescius Ltd.
1. Product
Praecheck is an Android data exposure assessment application. It reviews locally available device settings, app permissions, connectivity and installed-app characteristics and provides prioritised findings and practical guidance.
2. What Praecheck is not
Praecheck is not antivirus software, malware removal software, a forensic examination service or a guarantee that a device is secure. It does not claim to detect spyware, surveillance actors, compromise or every possible form of data collection.
3. Licence
When you purchase Praecheck, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence subject to the device, duration and update limits displayed at checkout. You may not resell, sublicense, distribute or make the software or licence file available to others except where applicable law expressly permits.
4. Delivery and activation
Praecheck is supplied digitally. Delivery instructions and any offline licence file are provided after successful payment. You are responsible for using a compatible Android device and following the installation instructions provided.
5. Assessment limitations
Android restricts access to some settings and historical information. Praecheck therefore distinguishes observed or granted state from declarations, inferred capability, user-verification items and platform-restricted checks. Findings and scores are intended to help prioritise review; they are not proof that data was collected, transmitted, compromised or accessed by a third party.
6. Updates
Any included update period or entitlement is stated at checkout. We may change assessment logic, wording, supported Android versions or scoring methods as the product develops. When scoring methodology changes, historical scores may not be directly comparable.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Praecheck in a way that violates applicable law, infringes another person's rights, or attempts to circumvent licence controls. Praecheck is intended for assessment of a device you own or are authorised to assess.
8. Consumer rights and refunds
Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Our published Refund Policy explains our voluntary refund process.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Praecheck is supplied without a guarantee that every exposure will be identified or that following a recommendation will eliminate risk. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Changes
We may update these terms for future purchases or software versions. The version applying to your purchase is the version made available at the time of purchase unless law requires otherwise.
